Air France and KLM set a new standard for sustainable aviation
The Air France-KLM Group is fully committed to its sustainability transition. It is using all the levers at its disposal, including the incorporation of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF).
Since 10 January 2022, customers of Air France-KLM Group airlines have been contributing to the cost of the progressive incorporation of SAF on all flights departing from France and the Netherlands. This contribution is directly visible in the ticket price and its amount varies according to the distance and the travel cabin.
In order to continue to invest in these sustainable aviation fuels and to increase their incorporation rate, Air France-KLM is changing the amount of its mandatory contribution for SAF from 10 January 2023. This will now represent between 1 and 8 euros in the Economy cabin, and between 1.5 and 24 euros in the Business cabin, depending on distance.
Customers who wish to do so can continue to contribute further by contributing to the support of sustainable aviation fuel sector when booking (environmental option available on airfrance.fr / klm.com or in the Air France and KLM application).
